On May 18th, Jean Hastings Ardell, author of “Making My Pitch” leads off the line-up of SSDL5 shows with a long form interview about the story of Ila Jane Borders, the first woman awarded a college baseball scholarship, and then the first to pitch and record a win in college and in the pros. Those national tournaments include over 500 teams each from over 40 states.  David Wharton, a feature writer for the Los Angeles Times who serves as an Olympic Games correspondent, will also join SSDL5 Wednesday with an update.
